Stories That Stay With You

Procyon Horizon Press is an independent publishing imprint founded to bring character-driven science thrillers to readers who want their speculative fiction grounded in real science and real stakes.

Our name comes from Procyon, the brightest star in the constellation Canis Minor — a small but unmistakable point of light that has guided travelers for generations. In Greek, the name means "before the dog," because Procyon rises in the night sky just ahead of Sirius, the Dog Star, leading the way for what follows.

Our logo carries that same idea forward: a dog leaping toward the star that goes before it, racing toward the horizon and whatever lies just beyond it. It's a fitting symbol for a press built on the belief that good stories find their way to the people who need them, however far the journey and that the best ones are always reaching for something just ahead of where they are.

Procyon Horizon Press currently publishes the work of author Jen Rice, beginning with The Hollow Earth Boundary Trilogy and comming Spring of 2027, The Almost Trilogy.
